One day I was walking with my son, and he asked me:
Dad, what's the first step in making a guitar? I was perplexed, but I immediately sensed something deeper. I took the time to think as we continued walking. We stopped, looked around, and there I found the answer. I bent down and got down to his level. I said, with great love for what he was revealing to me, "My son, the first thing you do to start building a guitar is to plant a tree."
Since then, with every instrument purchased we plant a tree.
